Conservative CPU Governor

Started my test with a “conservative” governor and here are the screen shots from a day with it.

More on this governor can be read at this great Post

The above screen shot stands as proof that I am utilizing a “conservative” governor. System tuner pro is a excellent system tweaking tool I use for these purposes.

image

The above screen shot displays the time cpu spent at each frequency step. As evident from the screen shot most of the time cpu spent its on 384MHZ on single core.
Following are a series of screen shots from the android stick power settings.

image

The above screen shot is taken when battery percentage is at 17. 16 hours 30 minutes is by any standard a very decent operating time on single charge.
Below screen shots present proof of my usage details during this period.

image

Screen time of nearly 2 hours is little above average usage but stands as a proof of the fine performance of this governor.

image

During this period I haBr made calls for a total of 50 minutes which must be average usage for a working professional with a 8 hour desk job.

In summary I am completely satisfied with this governors performance. I did not experience any lag despite being on low frequency for most of the time, and I particularly enjoyed not having to worry about running out of battery for a full day.

HTC one S Customization

I have recently purchased a HTC one S (S4 T-MOBILE VERSION) and after a lot of tweaking I have settled down with the following configuration

# An TWRP recovery (use goo manager beta from market to overwrite recovery with TWRP)

# An Axiom S-less 2.8.10b ROM Click

# Fusion Ultimate Kernel 3.0 (find it on xda-developers.com)

Recently I have been on a mission to tweak the kernel governors and I will be following this post with experiments with each governor.

If you are interested in installing a custom kernel here is my post on how to do it from my post Click here for post

So stay tuned.

AnytimeAbs – An Ab exercise timer

This app is Ab program timer to remind you to “suck in your gut”. As we get older, we tend to relax our Ab muscles leading to a pooch belly. This program is designed to run in the background and give you a tone, vibrate or both. The timer can be set in 30 second intervals up to 3 minutes and will automatically cycle until you hit the stop button.

When you hear the tone, tighten your Abs and hold them as long as you keep your mind on it. Over the period you have set, you will have a tendency to relax, that’s why I created this app, to remind you to hold your abs in.

You can run this program at the office, in the car, while sitting watching TV. The more you use the app, you will ultimately retrain your abs to stay in; improving your posture and also helping with lower back pain.

(Disclaimer: Above description is provided by the client for whom this app is commercially developed)

This app can be purchased for just $0.99 from the Android market by clicking on this
